An Ambulance Call is a SERVICE REQUEST.
An Ambulance Call is a call received into the Ambulance Control Room.
This could be a direct 999 call or a call transferred from another ORGANISATION.
Every call received into the Ambulance Control Room is given a unique AMBULANCE CALL IDENTIFIER.
An AMBULANCE VEHICLE may be dispatched to provide treatment to the PATIENT face to face, with onward transport to a hospital or other destination if required. Alternatively, the PATIENT may be given advice via telephone or video consultation and not require an AMBULANCE VEHICLE response.
