The COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER provides a unique identifier (per ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER) of Cancer Services) to identify each Cancer Outcomes and Services Data Set submission to the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service.

COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER is the same as attribute SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER.
The COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER provides a unique identifier (per ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER) of Cancer Services) to identify each Cancer Outcomes and Services Data Set submission to the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service. It is used to uniquely identify and, if necessary, to sequence check Cancer Outcomes and Services Data Set submissions.
For each submission, the COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER should be incremented by 1.
The COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER may appear on data quality reports, error reports, and audit logs exchanged between the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service and submitting ORGANISATION IDENTIFIER (CODE OF PROVIDER).
The COSDS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIER must be populated in the COSDS Submission Identifier group within the COSDS XML Schema, by the sender of the data set submission, prior to transmission of the data to the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service.
