The start time ('Call Connect') for an Emergency Transport Request in order to calculate the response time.
This is the time when the call is presented to the control room telephone switchboard (known as 'Call Connect Time'), that is the moment the call is connected to the control room switchboard and not the time the call is answered. This will be the case for all calls received on control room telephone lines; from dedicated 999 lines or otherwise.
For calls that are electronically transferred to the computer aided dispatch system from another computer aided dispatch system, the time starts immediately when the first call for that TRANSPORT REQUEST INCIDENT is first received by an Ambulance Service NHS Trust system.
The time should be recorded using the 24 hour clock.
